It probably could be, but the noise environment in
an airplane is much worse than in a car. If you
were going to try it you'd probably want to get
one of your buddies to listen to you from their
airplane to see what the controller is hearing.
My guess is that you would pick up a lot of prop
noise that an aviation headset would not pick
up--unless you are flying a jet ;-)
